Description
Simply Zinc (25 mg per serving) was formulated for those who may benefit from Zinc supplementation but do not require greater than 40 mg Zinc per serving and for those with older children that may benefit from Zinc supplementation during cold/flu season.
Zinc aids the immune system in its defense against bacteria and viruses and is necessary for T-cell production. Zinc is not stored in the body like Vitamins A, D & E, for example. To maintain optimal levels, Zinc is best consumed daily by eating animal proteins and plant products that contain Zinc. Zinc is contained in red meat, various kinds of seafood, poultry, and some legumes. When daily consumption from our food sources becomes a challenge, whether from personal choice to limit animal proteins or for those that do not have access to quality animal protein sources, supplementing with Zinc can be of benefit. (Note: Adequate hydrochloric acid in the gut is essential for the assimilation of Zinc. I’m Powered Robynzyme supplement addresses deficient stomach acid production.)
Zinc supplementation is extremely beneficial in mounting a robust immune response at the onset of cold and flu-like symptoms.
